Karma of Interconnectedness

“In a real sense, all life is inter-related. All persons are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly affects all indirectly.” – Martin Luther King, Jr.

As part of earth’s energy, we are all influenced by the collective thoughts and feelings of one another. So, feeling depressed, sad and angry is not only bad for you, it is also harmful to your surroundings and to the world at large, and hence negative karma. We cause more harm through the ‘mental pollution’ than the physical pollution!

When you cheerfully bear your ‘debts’ without feeling desperate, sad or angry, you prevent adding ‘psychic pollution’ to our planet, thus indirectly helping millions of people across the world. Hence, regardless of the situation, it is good to have healthy feelings and positive thoughts for your own sake, and for the sake of seven billion people on our planet!

Being cheerful and hopeful in itself is good karma that will come back to you manifold. And even your prayers will produce powerful results when you pray to God with a heart filled with gratitude and joy!

Moreover, any negative state blocks the flow of spiritual energy and affects your evolution, thereby diminishing your usefulness to others.
