Apart from its intended meaning, the proverb, “Birds of a feather flock together” is apt for karma as well. At times a group of people who carry a similar karma to be worked out may gather in a family, country, religious group or spiritual community- or even in a disaster place, as illustrated in this amazing episode: Once fellow passengers on a train requested the famous palmist Cheiro to read their palms. Cheiro’s eyes widened as he saw that most of the passengers’ life line ended abruptly! He realised that the people present in that compartment carried a similar destiny. When the next station arrived, swiftly Cheiro got down although he had to travel abroad. After a station or two the train met with a major accident that resulted in the death of all the passengers in that compartment!
More often a group of souls with similar karma to work out, or common lessons to learn, are born in the same family, or even get attracted to a war-afflicted country or violence prone area, where they can work out their ‘group karma’.
No single event occurs by coincidence. Whether it is destruction through war or a disaster through natural calamity, tragedy through a plane crash or misfortune through a riot, nothing ever happens outside the boundaries of the ‘law’. Even during genocide, ‘group karma’ is at work; and such is its power that the ‘group karma’ of the people of a country can make that country flourish or perish.
This topic is vast and deals with several races that existed such as the Atlantians who were believed to have perished altogether due to the misuse of psychic powers. Even our present humanity as a whole has a ‘group karma’ and hence it is possible to predict our destiny based on our collective actions.
Close your eyes for a moment and ponder upon the magnificence of the creation and your role in it.
