Commentaries by Vee Jay Attri during the Book Study – Secrets of Karma
To be happy is to find strength in forgiveness, hope in battles, security in the stage of fear, love in disharmony. It is not only to enjoy the smile but also, to reflect on the sadness. It is not only to celebrate the success but to learn lessons from the failures. It is not only to feel happy with applause but to be happy in anonymity.
Being happy is not a fatality of destiny but an achievement for those who can travel within themselves. To be happy is to stop feeling like a victim and become your destiny’s author. It is to cross deserts yet, to be able to find an oasis in the depth of our soul. It is to thank God for every morning for the miracle of life.
Being happy is not being afraid of your own feelings. It is to be able to talk about you. It is having the courage to hear and know. It is confidence in the face of criticism, even when unjustified. It is to kiss your children, pamper your parents, to live quality moments with friends, even when they hurt us.
May your life become a garden of opportunities for happiness that in spring, may it be a lover of joy, in winter a lover of wisdom and when you make a mistake, start all over again, for only then, will you be in love with life.
You will find that to be happy is not to have a perfect life but use the tears to irrigate tolerance, use your losses to train patience, use your mistakes to sculpture serenity, use pain to plaster pleasure, use obstacles to open windows of intelligence. Never give up. Never give up on people who love you. Never give up on happiness.
This is an extract from a very powerful message by Pope Francis on the day of Easter. Extraordinary message that I thought I will read at the beginning of today’s evening session for study and Great invocation.
So, welcome to all of you. Namaste! How are you all keeping? All is well. We shall make it even better. Keep on affirming as you wake up in the morning with the very profound quotation by Emile Coue, “Every day in every way, I am getting better and better.”
Please repeat after me “Everyday in every way, I am getting better and better. Every day in every way, I am getting better and better. Every day in every way, I am getting better and better. So be it. So be it. So be it!” This is the mantra for you to wake up in the morning.
Then, what do you do when you retire at night? Two things you will do. Number 1, Recall the activities of the day. Recall all the happy moments and say, “God, super grateful for all these beautiful moments of the day.” Recall all the mistakes that you have done, either with your negative thoughts or through harsh speech or unkind actions.
Just recall those moments and mentally say ‘I erase, erase, erase.’ And then, mentally project love. Imagine yourself speaking kind words, imagine yourself doing compassionate action, this is exactly how you retire to bed. All these are extremely important aspects of your daily routine. Please include them.
Morning, waking up with the quotation of Emile Coue. At evening, before retiring to bed, expressing gratitude for all the activities of the day and also, disintegrating the negative aspects of the day. Alright we have a few questions.
Question:
“So, we learnt at the center that number one, soul is here to evolve and number two, challenges bring lessons. Remember I asked you about evil turning into good. I somehow understood that what we see as evil can help the soul evolve.
Now, when we do twin heart and the great invocation, we bless the world with pardon, forgiveness, prosperity, good health etc. What if the lesson that we need to learn is in that injury, in that sickness?
I have seen the humanity in persons with humble means, meaning limited means. The minute they become rich, those same people become arrogant. So, are we not interfering with lessons when we are blessing the world with only good things? We must pray for others yes, maybe bless them with divine strength to learn their lessons, to clear their karma. I am confused and will be grateful for some enlightenment. Often, I see myself tuning in to the twin heart but because of the questions, I cannot meditate, so, I just listen.”
A very very profound question. Thank you first of all for this. You see, there is something called entitlement. You still remember the story of Shiva and Parvati. Yes? No? Alright, it will serve us a good reminder and for some of you who did not attend the session, it is good for you.
So, once, Parvati happened to see a man walking alone with practically no means for livelihood. He was in deep pain, so Parvati told Shiva, Parvati is the wife of Shiva, “Why don’t you give something to that man to alleviate his poverty? The poor fellow, he hasn’t eaten for several days now. It is important that you have mercy on him.”
Lord Shiva told Parvati, “Unfortunately he is not entitled for it now. Even if we support him, he would not be able to accept it” but Parvati insisted, “No, I want you to help that person, no matter.” So, Shiva said, “Alright! Let me help him and you will see what I said is true.”
So, he placed a pot of gold coins on the path where the poor person was walking. As the person was coming nearer to the pot of gold, he had a strange thought. He said to himself, “How would a blind person ever walk?”
So, he wanted to try walking like a blind person and therefore, he pretended himself to be a blind man and started walking with closed eyes, he kept walking until he crossed the pot of gold. After he crossed the pot of gold, he opened his eyes and said to himself, “Wow! So, that was very difficult. I wonder how the blind people manage” and then, he continued to walk on the path.
Shiva told Parvati, “Have you seen? No matter what you do, unless the person is karmically entitled, they cannot receive anything.”
That is exactly is about the blessings, the prayers that we do for others. If you observe the planet today, so many people across the globe are praying, blessing. Millions of people are blessing, millions of people are praying. Practically, the whole of the day, in some part of the world, prayers and blessings are happening. Despite that, not everyone is healed.
Even Lord Christ could not heal everybody and that is exactly where we come to entitlement. So, no matter how much you bless, how much you pray, you cannot interfere with the laws of nature. The lessons that people have to learn will have to be learnt here. We cannot interfere with this process.
However, the blessings are simply creating a conducive environment for the divine plan to manifest, number 1. Number 2, there are people who are karmically ready to receive help. For those people, your blessings matter a lot. That is exactly is the beauty about these kind of group blessings.
When someone is ready karmically, the blessings that we do collectively make such a huge impact and the person practically has a turning point in their life. Is it clear? So, karmic entitlement is an extremely important factor. However, it doesn’t stop you from doing what you should do.
Our job is to do whatever we can to the best of our ability. We are not concerned about the result of what we do. When our motive is pure, the result of whatever that we are doing will always be positive. If not now, then definitely at some time. No positive energy that you transmit is ever wasted. It is always used in some way.
Same thing with negative activities or negative vibes that we spend or spread. So, twin heart meditation and other meditation, including prayers, absolutely work when the divine time in the lives of people come. Not before that, so, it will not interfere with the learning process, never! Not possible!
After all, we are not mightier than the Lords of Karma. They are much more mightier and the laws of nature are supremely powerful. Alright, let’s move on to the next question. So, please do meditate regularly. Do your twin heart meditations wholeheartedly. Bless people wholeheartedly. You never know what a change you are bringing in the lives of many people across the globe.
Next question: “Atma Namaste, I have a question and maybe some others too may have it. We often hear you mentioning about inner world. Grateful if you could guide us how to have access and how to experience it?”
Well, you are all the time accessing the inner world every time you pray, every time you meditate. Inner world is nothing but the spiritual world. Of course, with the purity of the vehicles, one can have greater access to the inner world. So, it is just the ability to synchronize your vibratory level with the vibratory level of certain realms of existence.
So, if for example, a particular plane of the inner world, of the spiritual world is having a vibratory frequency of say 100 hertz, when you are vibrating with that same frequency of 100 hertz, there is a matching of the frequency.
There is a resonance that you experience. You will find responses happening. So, the most important requirement to be in tune with the particular realm of existence is to be able to upgrade our frequency level progressively. The more finer your vehicles become, the greater will be your ability to access higher realms of existence or higher dimensions.
So, in short when we say the inner world, we mean the spiritual world. Of course, we will be taking up a few more questions if it comes.
