Commentaries by Vee Jay Attri during the Book Study - Secrets of Karma
We shall do a short study from the book Secrets of Karma. We shall continue from creating the destiny. The last one that we read was adversity to advantage, where we mentioned that regardless of the situation, there is always something good. Also, we said that challenges of life have got a two folder.
Implications in our life:
1. It helps you to build up your spiritual muscle, helping you to evolve spiritually, and
2. Challenges help you to be focused on the path that you truly belong to. So, rather than getting deviated from your path, challenges help you to be focused on what you are intended to do.
That means every time when you are looking to your condition of life, situations and if you do an introspection of what has happened in several years of your life, you would notice very carefully, you will find that is a very specific trend that is happening.
One after the other, it is like connecting the dots, each of whatever that has happened has led you to wherever you are today. So, there is always what we call synchronicity that happens in our lives. While I am talking about synchronicity, I remember to tell you that one of the most important thing that you need to be very much aware of, all the time is the law of synchronicity.
If you are an earnest spiritual aspirant and if you are living a life with awareness, you will always notice that in every situation, there is a hidden message for you. So, when someone is talking to me, I do not see the message, I do not see the messenger.
I look at the message. I listen to that person, regardless of the level of that person. To me, I consider that the Universe has chosen this messenger to deliver this message to me. What is that? It could be a very harsh message, it could be whatever form, there is constantly something is being conveyed to you.
So, I 100% believe in this. I 100% tell you with conviction, that if you are living with awareness, there is only a very beautiful conversation that happens all the time between you and the Universe. Universe includes the Supreme Force.
This is exactly what has to be very clearly borne in mind. So, whether it is a situation or people in front of you, look into the message that is contained. It doesn’t matter who is the messenger. That is why often it is said, the message is more important than the messenger.
Right now, I am the messenger. Messenger is not important. Look into what kind of message the messenger is delivering. The Universe is conspiring to deliver a specific message to you at this very moment, through the messenger. Look at the message. That is very important.
So, if you cultivate a habit of learning to live with synchronicity, suddenly you will experience that there is an explosion of activities happening around you, of which you are most of the time unconscious of. You are caught up in the whirlpool of activities, of emotions, of people’s limitations, weaknesses or whatever but you completely miss the spirit of whatever that you are actually up to.
It is like I remember in those days when we used to travel a lot, we used to go to mountain belt, sometimes towards Himalaya and other places in our own vehicle. Some people will be dashing up the mountain to reach the destination, so that they can check into the hotel and relax. It is very amusing, whereas some people, including us, we would halt the car comfortably in many places, enjoying the journey along up.
So, rather than hurrying up to the destination, even if you happen to drive your car and you are stuck in the traffic, understand that life is not about getting anywhere. It is about experiencing what is given to you at any given moment. You do not have to reach anywhere, you are already there.
You do not have to become something, you are already that. What is important is, you have to go through a very beautiful passage. Focus on the passage, focus on the journey, the destination will come anyway, you don’t have to worry about the destination.

Create your destiny

To predict the future is difficult. To create the future is easier. Use the law of karma to create your future.
Grandmaster Choa Kok Sui
Very profound statement from Grand Master Choa Kok Sui. Super grateful for this teaching. So, rather than running around, showing your hands to people to know your future, or your horoscope or whatever, focus on generating good karma. Focus on learning the lesson. Focus on the message the Universe is delivering. If you focus on the journey carefully, destination will come. You don’t have to worry about it.
“Mutthi mein hai taqadir hamari…” It is from an Indian song meaning: “Our destiny is in our hands.”
So, there is a very beautiful cartoon I am seeing here. A man with lots of rings, practically in all the fingers.
This is something that you can see in many parts of India, I think in other countries as well.
People fill their fingers with so many rings, not even realizing that some of the rings which are studded with gems perhaps is not suitable to that person, etherically speaking.
Because if you are using diamonds and other forms of precious stones which are crystals, and you are having a blood pressure, your blood pressure will shoot up. That is the teaching of the Grand Master Choa Kok Sui. If you are having a serious aliment, the aliment will multiply.
In fact, crystals are not suitable for everybody, but unfortunately the priests and pundits guide you to do this and do that, and you start doing everything without even understanding what are the implications of that in your etheric body, in your chakras and moreover, you cannot basically transform the destiny by wearing any gems for that matter.
The purpose of the gems is simply to help you to boost up a specific activity, meaning, certain gems are good for specific chakras, for example. Only to that extent it can help you, it is like a support. Sometimes, people have got pain in the knees. They are wearing the kneecaps. It is a support but because the kneecap is there, it does not mean that everything is going to be perfect all the time. Not necessary. It is just a support. I’m just taking a very vague example.
That’s exactly what happens with these kind of tools. They are all energy tools that has an effect on some of your energy centers, but it cannot write off your karma.
You have to work out your karma by going through certain experiences, learning the lessons connected with that karma and generating good karma. If you stop doing all this and simply depend upon the rings that you are wearing or the gems that you are using, that is a really not a very useful and a very wise idea.
Let us continue.
People pay a huge amount to know their future and spend a fortune in gems and rituals to solve their problems. If they help the poor and the needy with this money, this good karma can surely make their future better.
All the time, save money to help others, we keep on reminding you. Many at times, people do not even realize what they are doing and how they are spending their money. You might be thinking that it is a very small amount.
Some times back, I was really surprised to look into the bill. All the items were about Rs20, Rs30, Rs40 like this, but it added up to a substantial sum. Drop by drop, everything is magnified. The same thing happens with your expenditures.
A person who for example, smoking cigarettes one packet a day, does not even realize that on a monthly basis, he is spending more than Rs6,000 or Rs72,000 a year. With this Rs72,000 a year, in countries like India, you can actually feed 5,000 people, if not, at least 3,000 people.
Comfortably, very good meal can be provided to 3,000 people with the amount that you are blowing in something that is so harmful, injurious to your health. So, you have to understand that little by little, when you learn to save and then use it for the benefit of others, that is the most prudent way of generating good karma.
Keep checking yourself. Do not buy because it is cheap. That is a mistake that many people do and even before they start earning sufficiently, they already have got a list to spend money.
We keep coming across this kind of people many at times. You have to be so careful about your spending, especially in the conditions of today. Even if you have extra wealth, ensure that you save it and keep it for some other time to help somebody in utter need.
How great will it be if you keep accumulating little money here and there and use it for the education of people, who cannot actually afford it or for the purpose of helping people who cannot afford medication or any other means?
That means, you need to become a little more sensitive to the requirement of the world. You are not able to think beyond your immediate surroundings. When you look into the plight of the world, you understand that really the people of the world, our own brothers and sisters are in utter need of the wealth that we are otherwise not using or utilizing it properly.
So, when you are abusing whatever that has been given to you, it actually becomes a karmic liability. You have to contemplate and think about all that.
